Programme expansion for Strautmann flatbed spreader TS
Strautmann is expanding the segment of flatbed manure spreaders by another vehicle, the TS 140. Furthermore, a universal spreading unit with two discs will in future be available for the TS spreader.
With its wide-range product portfolio and many years of experience in the construction of manure spreaders, Strautmann is an absolute expert in this field. In order to meet customer requirements even better, the TS series is now expanded by the new TS 140 model. The smaller flatbed spreader also enables farmers to benefit from the advantages of this model. Thanks to the steel trough, which is conically tapered from top to bottom, the TS 140 can be equipped with large tyres while maintaining a low loading height.
The TS series has a particularly robust design. Due to the canted side panels with fully welded side posts, the machines are extraordinarily robust. The 16 mm thick round steel chains with a breaking load of 28 t per chain and the large-sized chain wheels make the TS spreader a reliable machine, even in difficult conditions.
The TS 140 has a maximum loading capacity of 14 m3. A BPW braking axle with a cross section of 120 x 120 mm and a brake of 410 x 120 mm ensures a gross vehicle weight rating of the spreader of 14 t in the field and 13 t on the road. Tyres of up to size 710/70 R 42 can be mounted to keep the ground pressure and the rolling resistance as low as possible.
Both the TS 160 and the TS 140 are in future available with a new universal spreading unit. All spreading materials used in farming can be precisely and effectively discharged by means of this spreading unit up to an operating width of 24 m. The spreading unit clearance of 1.65 m ensures a high throughput rate. The hydraulic dosage gate enables exact dosing of the spreading materials. The heart of the new wide-angle spreading unit are the two horizontally arranged beaters in combination with two spreading discs. The diameter of the beaters is 620 mm. The 12 mm thick milling tines can be turned over in case of wear, thus enabling double use. Four shovels on each of the 10 mm thick and 920 mm large spreading discs reliably distribute the spreading material. All wearing parts of the spreading unit are made of Hardox to increase service life and reduce maintenance costs for the customer.
The spreading beaters are powered via a cardan drive with large-sized gearboxes, ensuring particularly smooth running and minimising wear in the drive. The entire power train is protected via a cam-type cut-out clutch with 1800 Nm.
The new TS 140 model is available since 1st August 2019. The new universal spreading unit will be available in spring 2020.
