New low-profile loader wagons: Ambion 2 Alpline

Strautmann is setting the course for a comprehensive expansion of its loader wagon range. Through a partnership with the Saxon-based Maschinenfabrik Stolpen GmbH, Strautmann is adding specialised low-profile loader wagons to its portfolio. In doing so, the family-run business is closing an important gap in its product range and will specifically cater to the requirements of mountain farming as well as municipal and landscape maintenance in the future.

Strategic response to market needs
Strautmann sees potential in compact loading technology. “We have identified a growing demand for robust and compact low-profile loader wagons, which we would not be able to meet with our existing model ranges in the medium term,” explains Felix Rademacher, Sales Director at Strautmann. “With the Ambion 2, we now offer a product that is technically ideally suited for hay harvesting in alpine terrain or for green space maintenance. The Ambion 2 enables us to offer our customers an efficient solution for specialist applications and to further consolidate our market position in the loader wagon segment.”

The new Ambion 2 series
Ambion 2 is available in three models. The main feature of this series is its low-loader design, which enables safe working on slopes. Thanks to their lightweight and compact construction, these machines are also designed for working on damp and uneven terrain.

  • Strautmann Ambion 2-150 Alpline (14 m³ loading volume according to DIN)
  • Strautmann Ambion 2-180 Alpline (17 m³ loading volume according to DIN)
  • Strautmann Ambion 2-250 (Alpline) (24.5 m³ load volume according to DIN)

The suffix “Alpline” describes the low-loader design and highlights these machines’ suitability for use on slopes. This is standard on the Ambion 2-150 and 2-180 series and an option on the Ambion 2-250.
With the launch of the Ambion 2, Strautmann is also establishing a clear structure for the future: whilst the new models mark the entry-level range, the existing Ambion models cover the mid-range and top-end segments for hay harvesting.

Market launch and service
The first machines will be in operation from the 2026 season onwards. Ambion 2 is now available through the well-established Strautmann sales network. In addition to sales, after-sales service and the supply of spare parts will continue to be provided as usual via the established Strautmann dealer network.
